Solchansen – Urkult's Open Stage

Over the years, Urkult has had the joy of inviting festival visitors to perform on our open stage. And what an incredible wealth of musical talent there is among you! One of the highlights is that we also get the chance to offer one participating artist or group a full concert slot at the following year's festival. Of course, you don't have to compete for that opportunity. If you'd simply like to share a song for the joy of it, you're warmly welcome to do so. 

Solchansen is a chance to meet, share, and connect in a welcoming space under the afternoon sun. Come up on stage and feel the warmth of both the place and the audience. Everyone aged 15 and over is welcome to sign up. A steel-string acoustic guitar and drums will be available on site. Please bring any other instruments you wish to use. Places are limited, so be sure not to miss the sign-up time to let us know you are interested. Please note that participants are not selected on a first-come, first-served basis. 

The artist or group selected by Urkult's programme team for a performance at next year's festival will be contacted after the New Year. While no artist fee is paid for the performance, the selected artist or group will receive travel reimbursement, backstage meals, festival wristbands, accommodation during the festival (limited number of places), and of course a place in the programme and on the festival poster.
