When many people gather in one place, accidents and difficult situations can happen. That's why we ask everyone to stay aware of their surroundings and speak up if they see or hear something that doesn't feel right!

In addition to the police, security staff, and emergency services, Urkult operates a Safety Helpline for anyone who experiences or witnesses something unpleasant during the festival. The helpline is staffed by trained personnel and is available 24 hours a day throughout the festival.
Please note that serious incidents such as sexual assault, rape, or other criminal offences should always be reported immediately by calling 112. If you feel unsure or scared to do so – ask someone around you or our staff for support.
Our policy of care and inclusion
Our organisation operates through a policy where all people regardless of gender, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or religious belief should feel included, safe and welcome at our festival and other events that are organised in our name.
First responder
A First responder is an on-call firefighter with basic healthcare knowledge. Their duty is to be first at the scene of an accident and to to the best of their ability maintain the situation. When they arrive your duty is to make room and to make sure they are able to get to the people in need or the situation that has to be handled.
Safety and police
During the festival we work closely with our security guards and the police. This is a community initiative we have taken together to create as safe of a festival as possible and to keep an open and productive dialogue between ourselves. We all strive to do our very best if a situation occurs. Urkults Safety Group can be reached at Navet situated by the festival entry.

Information for Visitors with Access Needs
General Information about the site
The festival grounds are located in a natural area of grassy fields and pine trees. The terrain is somewhat hilly, but prepared paths and gravel roads improve accessibility. The road leading to the festival grounds is paved.
Please note that there is some risk of punctures. If you use a wheelchair, mobility scooter, or other mobility aid with pneumatic tyres, we recommend bringing any spare parts you may need.
Traffic & Parking
Temporary parking restrictions are in place throughout the village and along the riverbank during the festival to ensure access for emergency vehicles. The main visitor car park is located near the church, approximately 700 metres from the festival grounds, between the church and Route 90, next to Sigge's Family Campsite. Cars are not permitted within the festival grounds or surrounding residential areas during the festival. In special circumstances, vehicle permits may be granted to allow drop-off and pick-up of visitors with mobility disabilities at the festival entrance.
Accessible Toilets
There are three accessible toilets within the festival grounds: two near the entrance and one near Solscenen (behind the Information Booth). The latter is a portable accessible toilet. An additional accessible toilet is available at Markusgården in the village.
Personal assistants and support persons
Visitors may be granted free entry for a personal assistant or companion if they are on duty. Please contact the Urkult office for more information.
Guide dogs
Dogs are not permitted on the festival grounds, with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs.
Medical services
Medical staff are available at "Navet", near the festival entrance, 24 hours a day on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Accommodation
Näsåker is a small village, and several temporary campsites are established during the festival. Check out the Camping & Accommodation page for more information.
Information
At Markusgården, behind Coop Nära, you'll find the Festival Office where you can buy programmes, register for workshops, and receive information about the festival grounds, accommodation, and activities. Markusgården is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet. An Information Desk is also located inside the festival grounds near Solscenen.
Stages
The Main Stage is located in the amphitheatre and can be reached by stairs or a gravel road. A ramp provides access to the large dance floor in front of the stage. Wheelchair users also have access to a viewing platform with a good view of the amphitheatre and stage. Solscenen is a smaller stage located near the food stalls and Information Desk, above the amphitheatre area. There is no wooden deck in front of the stage, and the ground may become uneven during the festival. However, there is plenty of seating available nearby. Danslogen has ramps at the entrances and seating along the walls. Näsåker Church is wheelchair accessible and equipped with a hearing loop.
Spaces for workshops and other activities
Visitors can take part in workshops, film screenings, talks, and other activities held at various locations throughout the festival. The cinema at Markusgården has a sloping floor and no stairs, making it possible to position a wheelchair beside the seating rows. If you would like a reserved space, please contact the Festival Office at Markusgården in advance. The dance hall at Markusgården is located at ground level and is wheelchair accessible. Församlingshemmet is located along a paved street and has ramp access. If you wish to participate in courses and have any special needs just let us know when you sign up for the activity so that we can provide the best possible support.
