Vigüela

Vigüela

Vigüela is once again back at Urkult to give as a taste of the cultural heritage of traditional music from Castilla-La Mancha, the southern part of the Iberian plateau, in the heart of Spain. Vigüela was the first group to take the traditional styles of jota, seguidilla, fandango, son and interpret them in their natural environment. “We work with old songs that have been part of our days, our duties, our life. They talk about what we are, because we are inside them and everything around us. We perform them in our style, our way that we have inherited for been from our village, El Carpio de Tajo, where people sing very gracefully”. With a great deal of improvisation, joy and artistic excellence, they offer their wild and beautiful musical treasure to the international stages.
