You'll meet people from near and far, become part of a unique community, and perhaps even discover talents you never knew you had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default wp-block-paragraph\">As a volunteer, you'll contribute at least 12 hours during the festival, usually divided into two or three shifts. If you'd like to volunteer at Urkult, you'll find the registration form at the bottom of this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default wp-block-paragraph\">In the form, you'll be able to tell us a little about yourself, your experience, and what kinds of tasks you'd most enjoy helping with. Foto Emelie Rehn.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Good to know before you apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plan your journey. N\u00e4s\u00e5ker is a small village in a rural area, so it's important to think about how you'll get to and from the festival well in advance. This helps avoid last-minute cancellations. See the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/urkult.se\/en\/hitta-hit\/\">Getting to N\u00e4s\u00e5ker<\/a>&nbsp;page for information about travel options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most volunteer teams hold an introductory meeting on the first day of the festival before the festival grounds open. These meetings usually take place sometime between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM and last approximately 1\u20131.5 hours. If you're unable to arrive in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker that early, please let us know in the application form so the volunteer coordinators can take it into account when assigning teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have limited opportunities to accommodate underage volunteers, but we do our best to offer volunteer positions to everyone who applies. You must be at least 13 years old to volunteer. Tents only! Anyone who wishes to stay elsewhere will have to book and pay for it themselves.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The volunteer campsite is beautifully situated on the river bank, just below the village. 20 minutes walk from the festival-site. There are two walking paths to the Volunteer Campsite: K\u00e4rleksstigen (\u201cThe Love Trail\u201d) and the boardwalk passing the rock carving area. K\u00e4rleksstigen is steep and can get muddy when wet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-observe-box has-border-color has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-3daf99f0 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-color:var(--wp--preset--color--red);border-style:solid;border-width:3px;padding-top:12px;padding-right:18px;padding-bottom:18px;padding-left:18px\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-red-color has-text-color\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">Please note<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-specialtext has-calibri-font-family has-default-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The car road leading to the campsite is narrow and is used at one\u2019s own risk to unload your packing at the campsite. Parking is prohibited due to the fact that it is located on a natural grazing area!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Accommodation in military tent:<\/strong>&nbsp;For those volunteers who do not have or do not want to bring their own tent, Urkult offers a limited number of sleeping places in our large military tents which accommodate up to 12 people in each tent. The volunteers live here in mixed ages and genders. If you want a place in a military tent, state this in the application form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Facilities:<\/strong>&nbsp;The toilets are traditional out-door toilets so called \u201dearth closets\u201d. No electricity. Recycling station. Drinking water from a tank. Vicinity to the village\u2019s public sauna. Possibility to shower at the bath house up in the village during opening hours. Part of the campsite is drug-free!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nature camping means that there are not quite the same amenities as at Urkult\u2019s official campsites. On the other hand, it is the most beautifully situated campsite in the village!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">August evenings and nights in N\u00e4s\u00e5ker can be cold and damp, so feel free to bring that extra knitted sweater, underwear and warm socks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember that the river is a capricious creature that should be shown the utmost respect!
